Network Rail Removes Bushes in ‘Nesting Season’

(Taken on July 6, 2018)

Local residents were woken in the middle of the night to find Network Rail Scotland removing small trees and bushes next to the rail line at the back of the Roundhouse carpark.

The ‘Bird Nesting Season’ is officially from February until August“ but some species nest for longer. Wood pigeons, common in the area, can nest as late as October.

More tree removal, nearer to the station, is expected tonight.
