RotaKids is a fun and exciting way for children aged 7-12 to make friends and get involved with important activities in the community, all while having a great time in the process.

A RotaKids group was started 2 years ago at BPS. There has also been one in Kinghorn for a year.

They were started by Rita Attewell (in photo) who says: “RotaKids supports our youngest citizens to develop the strength, knowledge, skills, enthusiasm, and determination to keep on finding ways to change the world, locally and globally, into a more peaceful place where people can enjoy their lives. They choose  projects to benefit their school, the community and internationally.”

Last year BPS RotaKids had a cake competition and an activity day to raise money for Children in Need and an art competition raising money for “Purple for Polio”.

Other activities included raising funds fo SSPCA and the Epilepsy Foundation and collecting over 2000 books for school libraries in Ghana.

The group meets once a month. All projects are funded by the Rotary Club of Burntisland and Kinghorn.
