Coastal Rowing Club for Burntisland? Public Meeting Jan 30th

Burntisland once had many rowing boats, some used for taking tourists around the Bay and Black Rock. (This postcard was printed before the First World War.)

Now with the interest in Coastal Rowing in Scotland, there are several clubs on both sides of the Forth.

A small group has been formed which includes a winner of the Civic Week Raft Race and existing members of the Kinghorn Coastal club and Burntisland Sailing Club.

The group met for the second time in early December and discussed whether to buy or build a boat, where to keep and launch it, fundraising etc.

Anyone interested in helping to make this project happen should go along on Wednesday 30th January (2019!) at 7pm to the Roasting Project in the High Street.

If you can’t go but are interested, please email rowing@burntislandsailing.org.uk.
