Yvonne Crombie, manager of the Toll Community Centre, is starting a new venture to encourage people to cycle.

The initial plan is to get unwanted bikes, service them and find new owners.

Some will be sold to raise money for tools and spares. Others will become part of a ‘pool’ to be lent out.

The intention is to offer basic maintenance sessions – especially for parents and children.

Already several people have offered to help.

If you have unwanted bikes, parts or tools, the Toll will be happy to take them after the 7th.
