For the past few days the heavy load carrier Swan has been at the Burntisland Deep Water Anchorage off The Lammerlaws.

It waited for its load and prepared by submerging its deck to allow a laden barge to float on board, complete with Transformer-like cargo.

The loaded Swan set sail for China last night. It had arrived off Burntisland from Uruguay.

A month ago its sister ship Albatross (currently in Texas) collected a load here.

In the week that the Twinning visitors are here, it shows that Burntisland is quite well connected to the rest of the world!
