Longstanding Chair Ian Archibald stood down at today’s AGM in the Sands and is replaced by Ailsa Powrie.

C&M Seafoods, Burntisland’s fresh fish shop, is back in business today after a clean-up that lasted until 1am.
Water from a washing machine in a flat above, caused the shop to shut early with the loss of fish stock and damage to a fridge.

“Over the years the Lammerlaws has become seriously neglected and overgrown. This once popular walk has been denied to all but the most fit and able.
The Community Council are proposing to open up the area while retaining its natural beauty. Our proposal includes reclaiming the vacant land opposite the Beacon Leisure Centre currently used as a waste tip, to create a new car parking area and providing a ‘gateway’ to the Lammerlaws with interpretation boards, seating area and picnic tables.
