Passing Burntisland: August is Steam Train Month

Once again the four Sundays in August will see train excursions, organised by SRPS Railtours, pass between the Beach and Links.

Steam-hauled over the Forth Bridge and round the Fife Circle, then through Edinburgh and along the new Borders Railway to Galashiels and Tweedbank.

In addition, this year will see two visits by the UK’s newest mainline steam loco Tornado on three days in August plus one in September.

Burntisland Shows: Big Wheel Here for Two Weeks (or Maybe Three)

John Thomson of Thomson’s Event Group said “the wheel is scheduled to be in Burntisland for two weeks potentially three depending on how popular it is.”

Should be busy on Games Day – “The 367th Burntisland Highland Games will take place on Monday 15th July 2019 at 11:00”.

The price of the ride is £3.50 per person, £12 for a family of 4 (two adults and two children).
