Visit Burntisland’s “Closed” Museum

UPDATE 2.7.18.

The Fife Cultural Trust website has now been changed and no longer says the Museum is shut!

On the day that the Heritage Centre’s annual exhibition opens, you might also like to go round the corner to visit the Burntisland Museum. (Not to be confused with the Museum of Communication which is also open.)

According to the Fife Cultural Trust website it’s shut, but Fife Council’s site says it’s open when the Library is – you just need to ask for the key!

It’s a bit neglected, which adds to its fascination. It contains impressions of an “Edwardian fairground” plus a small “Local History Gallery” which includes models of a frigate and aircraft carrier built by The Burntisland Shipbuilding Company.

Burntisland Civic Week: UPDATE TO PARADE DAY ARRANGEMENTS

Burntisland Civic Week

⚠ *** SATURDAY 16TH JUNE – UPDATE TO PARADE DAY ARRANGEMENTS *** ⚠

Due to the forecast rain tomorrow afternoon we’re having to move our events indoor into the Parish Church Halls.

The crowning of the Summer King & Queen will take place in the Parish Church as usual, and we still plan on parading unless it’s too heavy rain. Amended timetable:
