No longer know as “Blue Flag” beaches, which is a pity as Burntisland was one of the few places good enough to get one!
“Beach Awards” are easier to get, but at there’s a flag and parts of it are blue.

Lifeguard Cover is in place from the 22th June – 26th August 2019. (Longer at Aberdour)

“Our 2019 Exhibition illustrates the breadth of our Museum Collection, taking you on a fascinating journey through the history of Communication – suitable for all ages!
“The Exhibition is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays until Saturday 28 September 2019 from 11 am until 4 pm.”

“Criminal activity associated with underage drinking, such as antisocial behaviour, disorder and violence are regularly raised as concerns by members of the community.
This campaign, which will be launched in both Kinghorn and Burntisland on Friday 7th June, aims to educate the public of the risks for those who consume alcohol under 18 and the consequences for adults who buy and supply them with it. Anyone found responsible for proxy purchasing will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal and will face a fine or a three-month prison sentence.”

FAB volunteers have begun filling the baskets and planters around the town. These ones will welcome visitors who arrive by train (and residents who use the station too of course!)

The wildlife garden in front of the Platform Studios. Some people think it should be a car park. The garden is on the south edge of Burntisland’s award winning conservation area.

Collapsed wall on South Hill Street. Possibly due to being undermined by ivy.

The station now has a wheelchair ramp (still no use on Platform 2).
UPDATE: Wall fixed 19.6.19

Once again, ten days of activities and entertainment (most free) organised by a dedicated band of volunteers, with the sponsorship of a range of local organisations.
