Burntisland-Canada Connections Grow

Earlier this year BiFab was bought by Canadian east coast company DF Barnes

Now Briggs Marine has bought three companies from the west.

“The Briggs Group are delighted to announce it has recently acquired a consortia of three marine companies in Canada. The Companies; Foreshore Technologies, Balanced Environmental and Ocean Tech are based in North Vancouver, British Columbia and have been trading for 25 years.”

The Burgh Hall is also open.

Visit Burntisland’s ‘Secret’ Garden

Not strictly in Burntisland, but only a couple of miles away (walking via Binn Village) or about 4 miles by road.

Glassmount House’s gardens are open to the public as part of Scotland’s Gardens Scheme until the end of September 2-5 (not Sundays) £5 (children free).

If you only like manicured lawns and regimented planting it’s perhaps not for you.

40 years of work in progress have produced something uniquely special.

Don’t miss any of the unusual buildings – especially the MacKenzie and Moncur greenhouse.
